UKRAINIAN EMBROIDERY ART

The Mail art project “UKRAINIAN EMBROIDERY ART” is organized by the ECHORAMA A.P.S. association, and it’s promoted with the patronage of the Regione Piemonte, the Provincia di Alessandria, the Municipality of the Città di Casale Monferrato.

This international open call was born as an invitation to discover, celebrate and preserve the heritage of the Ukrainian Embroidery Art, as a precious symbol of the cultural identity of the Ukrainian people, in grave danger due to the invasion war.

PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT WILL BE OPEN UNTIL JANUARY 22, 2023

Participation is free and the invitation is open to all artists, regardless of age, level or ability, from every country in the world, who are invited to express themselves on the theme “Ukrainian Embroidery Art“.

FREE SIZE (possibly postal sizes)

All artistic, pictorial and graphic techniques are allowed, including engravings and photo processing.

Please send only works with a clear and specific reference to the Ukrainian Embroidery Art, the goal of this project is to preserve the memory of this Ukrainian heritage for future generations. Thank you

Works not expressly related to the theme will not be used.

The works can be sent by mail in paper format or by mail in digital format. No return. No jury. We do not accept racist, pornographic, blasphemous, sexist works, etc …

𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 Due to recent changes to the international Customs system, we kindly ask international artists who wish to send 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 to our 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝘁 projects via Post, to please do 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗘 / 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗟 or using padded envelopes, but only and exclusively in normal envelopes and as 𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 / 𝗗𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 (not as Goods of any kind) via 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗟, because we cannot clear parcels as goods with no commercial value or without paying duties. The works received will be published on this blog and on the Instagram channel @echorama_mailart and an online virtual video-exhibition shared on YouTube will be created. A PDF or ebook catalog will also be created, and the organization of an exhibition of the works is not excluded (to be defined).

Certificate of participation for all participants at the end of the project.

The Association reserves the right to print the digital works received in the event of any exhibitions or exhibitions. The images of the works sent will be used by the Association in the ways and for the purposes it deems appropriate for the virtual exhibition and for the promotion of the project online, without any financial rights on the part of the artists invited to participate.
